This is not just by having rules that tell us what forms of reasoning are appropriate, like we learn in logic classes. It also helps us through practice. The almost eight pages of “Personal Philosophy of Life”, is followed by “Living my Life”, by the Anarchist Emma Goldman, also called “Red Emma”. The last is public domain as written by herself previous century, in January 1931.

Humanity is today as it was even in the twentieth century more sensitive to ideas than ever before, and this is why the many ideologies, and for this reason, in defence of their plans, even the most recalcitrant of the nations has to discover some idealistic excuse to put before the other nations when occupied with any infringement of recognised law.Conscription had been introduced in the U.S. for the first time, and Goldman saw it as an attack on freedom. She spoke out against it and was immediately arrested and imprisoned. After the end of the war in 1919, she was deported to her native Russia by the federal government.


By this time the Communist revolution had taken place and Goldman fully expected to experience the “workers’ paradise” she had heard so much about. Instead, she discovered not only repression, but also an unpleasantly anti-Semitic atmosphere. Emma Goldman criticized the undemocratic nature of Lenin’s rule and became increasingly disillusioned with the Soviet state.

The Social Significance of the Modern Drama

Plays have many different elements or aspects, which means that you should have lots of different options for focusing your analysis. Playwrights—writers of plays—are called “wrights” because this word means “builder.” Just as shipwrights build ships, playwrights build plays. A playwright’s raw materials are words, but to create a successful play, he or she must also think about the performance—about what will be happening on stage with sets, sounds, actors, etc. To put it another way: the words of a play have their meanings within a larger context—the context of the production. When you watch or read a play, think about how all of the parts work (or could work) together. 

Emma Goldman writes in her foreword:

In order to understand the social and dynamic significance of modern dramatic art it is necessary, I believe, to ascertain the difference between the functions of art for art's sake and art as the mirror of life.

Art for art's sake presupposes an attitude of aloofness on the part of the artist toward the complex struggle of life: he must rise above the ebb and tide of life. He is to be merely an artistic conjurer of beautiful forms, a creator of pure fancy.  

That is not the attitude of modern art, which is preeminently the reflex, the mirror of life. The artist being a part of life cannot detach himself from the events and occurrences that pass panorama-like before his eyes, impressing themselves upon his emotional and intellectual vision.

The Saladin skinhead of Ghent, we may rightly say stands somewhere inside a public building at the Rabot in Ghent somewhere around the Protestant Evangelical Church and Wondelgemstraat. It is in fact the way straight on to go to Dampoort, but before that we have the Tolhuislaan where we will be following a box match with the young Ghent boxer Junior Bauwens.

Near the “Rabot” a very old church, the Reformed Church, also called the “Evangelische Kerk” as announced at the door. There is another Protestant Church at the Brabantdam, and an Evangelical Reformed Church (modern building behind houses) at Gordunakaai, 86. The  first two denominations have liberal views, and the third one has fundamentalist views. They believe that every word and letter of the Bible is God’s Word, and is the Truth. A liberal Protestant Church believes that God’s Word is in the Bible, a more acceptable view. A question, “where is God’s Word to be found in the Bible, and who can confirm?” Conclusion: “Man is the creator of God, deities and religions. That means that God is not the creator of the universe and humanity. There is no such Almighty Power, nor is there life after death. Only man is superior. In this scientific age religions are completely outdated. However, every human being is totally free and can choose for himself. No one is allowed to intervene in another’s views and beliefs. I am an Anarchist and I only believe in freedom. The individual, you and I, is the true reality in life. A cosmos in himself, he does not exist for the State, nor for that abstraction called "society," or the "nation," which is only a collection of individuals. Man, the individual, has always been and, necessarily is the sole source and motive power of evolution and progress. Human thought has always been falsified by tradition and custom, and perverted false education in the interests of those who held power and enjoyed privileges.

Red Anarchist Skinheads


The Red Anarchist Skinheads are the anarchist skinheads. They are sympathetic to the anti-fascism and militant working class stance. There are many anarcho-skinheads who are not in any crew/organization, some who are involved with explicitly anarchist crews like ASAP - Anarchist Skins and Punks - in the USA and FASH - Federacion Anarco-Skinhead - in Spain and parts of Latin America, and some who are just with non political or other kinds of crews - the Baldies were a crew in Minneapolis with anarchist members, some are in R.A.S.H. - Red Anarchist Skinheads' chapters, and all sorts of different crews.


The Red Anarchists Skinheads style is not much different from the regular skinhead style. The only differences are that Anarchy-skinheads tend to adopt a little more Punk styles such as a lot of band t-shirts and studded belts. The Red Anarchist skinheads also apply their politics to their style. With the "lace and braces" rule, most tend to go for red signifying the colour of socialism.




Flight/Bomber Jackets. Normal colours are Green and Black, occasionally dark blue. In the 90’s it was possible to see male skins wearing burgundy, but this is mainly for girls now. Also in the past French redskins were known to wear their flights inside out with the orange exposed, the cause of this is to difference them from boneheads (source: "antifa chasseurs de skin" documentary). Either way they often have patches, pins and embroidery.


Denim jackets. Normally faded blue colour. Sometimes these are bleached. They are also often customized with pins and patches.


Harringtons: These are less common in the US scene. They are a more dressier coat and normally work plain, or with a few pins.




  • Men: tight pants; Levi 501’s are common as are stretch pants.
  • Women: tight pants or miniskirts


Footwear examples


Boots are the most common form of skinhead footwear. Dr. Martens and Grinders are common. Skin girls also wear Monkey boots. Anything from 3 to 20 eyes can be found but 8, 10 and 14 eyelets are the most common. Some groups of skinheads associate a meaning with the colours of one's shoelaces.




Yellow (not recommended unless...), black, blue (eventually) , red (preference standing for Anarchism and Socialism).




Travelling caps; cloth caps; worker-caps; Bowlers; pork pie hats; scally (Benny in the UK) caps; "flat caps" (driver's caps); or rocker-caps.




Braces are worn with tight trousers, sometimes upright, sometimes hanging to the sides. Some groups of skinheads associate the colors of the braces and shoelaces on a skinhead with a certain meaning, though these meanings can differ by region. In most parts of North America, red braces are worn by anarchist skinheads.




  • Men: Cut short, sometimes, although rarely, shaved bald.
  • Women: Usually a chelsea; some skinbyrds have short hair like the men.


Music  (very important)


Music tastes are relatively the same as punk tastes: Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Oi!, and Punk.

The present wave of reaction will pass. Experience will teach the people that emancipation from tyranny, oppression and exploitation can be achieved only through Anarchism --- in a social organisation based on free, solitary co-operation without any admixture of the vitiating and destructive spirit of authoritarianism. Solidarity without freedom is impossible; it inevitably leads back to slavery, open or masked. The future belongs to Anarchism.

The German skinhead is having a rest too at the Opgeëistenlaan before returning to the July Festival at St. Jacobs, and finally reach the great gathering at St. Bavo Abbey where skinheads and punks will meet the Saladin Knights wandering there, invisible ones, the Undead, “Those Who Have Risen” from the Crusades.

Soon the Saladin knights, the Undead, “Those Who have Risen”, normally located in the Castle of the Counts, very soon from now they are having their General Council in the ruins of St. Bavo Abbey, here are two of the many guardians and watchers all around protecting the domain , like at the time of the Crusades. They are the skinheads and punks of all ages representing Anarchism in the New Age.

The three guys are slowly on their way to the St. Bavo Abbey. They are very much amusing. They feel the hot, flushing attraction which every man is supposed to feel for the other. Seemingly, the male physique has a fascination for them, and a fondness for the female physique. So, it should be. Remember: “There is nothing of me that is alone and absolute except my mind, and we find out that the mind has no existence by itself, it is only the glitter of the sun on the surface of the waters. Individualism is really a mirage, an illusion. One is part of a great whole of which no one escapes.

They have now arrived at St. Bavo Abbey to meet the Saladin knights, the Undead, “Those Who have Risen”. They are all skinheads young and older, and even a skinhead girl on the balcony. The punks are on their way. They ignore how the Saladin knights will manifest themselves. Will they be seen in the air or on the ground or both in the air and on the ground. That is going to be a surprise. Where are the Punks?

These Anarchy punks have preferred the green scenery in the beautiful garden around the abbey, where they are free to play music in honour of the Saladin knights, and as such they remember the late seventies when their musical movement really began. At that time Punk Rock was born out of a reaction against established political and musical authorities. Removing the bombast of popular rock at the time, punk disregarded the traditional rules that governed musical success. This small group of Punks plays top-rated punk rock music at this very special gathering.

Sultan Saladin and his knights

Our story is almost drawing to its end with the appearance of the Saladin knights in the air. This one is already with his feet on the ground, in the nearness of two fortunate youngsters behind the flag of Flanders with the roaring lion showing its red claws. Let us briefly recapitulate the origin of Sultan Saladin and his knights.


The two greatest warriors of the Crusades were Richard the Lionheart of England and Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn (modernized as "Saladin"), the Sultan of Egypt and Syria. For two years, Richard had tried to capture the city of Acre (Akka), but the city had held out while Sultan Saladin attacked Richard from behind. Finally, Acre surrendered, but Richard's men were too tired to continue fighting Saladin. The time had come for them to meet face-to-face. Sultan Saladin bowed low and presented Richard with his favorite jewel: a giant opal called the Star of Saladin. "For my worthy opponent," he said. Richard thanked Saladin for the gift, and they signed a treaty which ended the fighting. Soon, Richard set out for England, but the opal was stolen from him during the journey.


The Assassins


We know too well now that the astonishing perspicacity and tenacity Ibn al-Khashâb of Aleppo, the Judge, not only saved the city Aleppo in  Syria from occupation, but also contributed more than anything else to preparing the way for the great leaders of “jihad” against the invaders during the Crusades. However,  the “qadi” would not leave to see these events. One day in the summer of 1125, as he was leaving the great mosque of the Aleppo after the midday prayer, a man disguised as an ascetic leapt upon him and sunk a dagger into his chest. It was an act of revenge by the Assassins, Ibn al-Khashâb had been the sect's most intransigent opponent, has spilled buckets of its adherents' blood, and had never repented of his actions. He must have know that some day he would pay with his life. For a third of a century, no enemy of the Assassins had ever managed to elude them.


This sect, the most terrifying every seen, had been founded in 1090 (C.E) by a man of immense culture, a devotee of poetry profoundly interested in the latest advances of science. Hasan ibn al-Sabbâh was born around 1048 in the city of Rayy, close by the site where the town of Tehran would be founded a dozen years later. Was he really, as legend claims, an inseparable companion of the young poet Omar Khayyam, himself a devotee of mathematics and astronomy? It is not known with certainty. On the other hand, the circumstances that led this brilliant man to dedicate his life to organising this sect are known in detail.


At this time of Hasan's birth, the Shi'i doctrine, to which he adhered, was dominant in Muslim Asia. Syria belonged to the Fatamids of Egypt, and another Shi'i dynasty, the Buwayhids, controlled Persia and dictated orders at will to the 'Abbasid caliph in Baghdad itself. During Hasan's youth, however, the situation was radically reversed. The Seljuks, upholders of Sunni orthodoxy, took control of the entire region. Shi'ism, triumphant only a short time before, was now only barely tolerated, often persecuted, doctrine.


Never had the threat represented by the Assassins been so serious. They were no longer simply pests, but had become a plague torturing the Arab world at a time when all its energies were required to confront the Frankish occupation. Moreover, the skein of killings was not yet fully unraveled. A few months after the death of al-Borsoki, his son, who succeeded him, was in turn assassinated. Four rival emirs then contented for power in Aleppo, and Ibn al-Khashâb was no longer on the scene to maintain a minimum of cohesion. In autumn 1127, as the city sank into anarchy, the young son of the great Bohemund, a huge blond man of eighteen who had just arrived from his homeland to take possession of this familial heritage. He bore his father's first name and also possessed his impetuous character. The Aleppans lost no time in paying tribute to him, and the most defeatist already saw him as the future conqueror of their city.


Sultan Saladin



Saladin, Arabic in full Ṣalāḥ al-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb (“Righteousness of the Faith, Joseph, Son of Job”), also called al-Malik al-Nāṣir Ṣalāḥ al-Dīn Yūsuf I   (born 1137/38, Tikrīt, Mesopotamia [now in Iraq]—died March 4, 1193, Damascus [now in Syria]), Muslim Sultan of Egypt, Syria, Yemen, and Palestine, founder of the Ayyūbid dynasty, and the most famous of Muslim heroes. In wars against the Christian Crusaders, he achieved great success with the capture of Jerusalem (October 2, 1187), ending its nearly nine decades of occupation by the Franks.


Saladin was born into a prominent Kurdish family. On the night of his birth, his father, Najm al-Dīn Ayyūb, gathered his family and moved to Aleppo, there entering the service of ʿImad al-Dīn Zangī ibn Aq Sonqur, the powerful Turkish governor in northern Syria. Growing up in Baʿlbek and Damascus, Saladin was apparently an undistinguished youth, with a greater taste for religious studies than military training.




Sultan Saladin’s position was further enhanced when, in 1171, he abolished the weak and unpopular Shīʿite Fāṭimid caliphate, proclaiming a return to SunniIslam in Egypt. Although he remained for a time theoretically a vassal of Nūr al-Dīn, that relationship ended with the Syrian emir’s death in 1174. Using his rich agricultural possessions in Egypt as a financial base, Saladin soon moved into Syria with a small but strictly disciplined army to claim the regency on behalf of the young son of his former suzerain. Soon, however, he abandoned this claim, and from 1174 until 1186 he zealously pursued a goal of uniting, under his own standard, all the Muslim territories of Syria, northern Mesopotamia, Palestine, and Egypt. This he accomplished by skillful diplomacy backed when necessary by the swift and resolute use of military force. Gradually his reputation grew as a generous and virtuous but firm ruler, devoid of pretense, licentiousness, and cruelty. In contrast to the bitter dissension and intense rivalry that had up to then hampered the Muslims in their resistance to the Crusaders, Saladin’s singleness of purpose induced them to rearm both physically and spiritually.




Sultan Saladin’s every act was inspired by an intense and unwavering devotion to the idea of jihad, or holy war. It was an essential part of his policy to encourage the growth and spread of Muslim religious institutions. He courted their scholars and preachers, founded colleges and mosques for their use, and commissioned them to write edifying works, especially on the jihad itself. Through moral regeneration, which was a genuine part of his own way of life, he tried to re-create in his own realm some of the same zeal and enthusiasm that had proved so valuable to the first generations of Muslims when, five centuries before, they had conquered half the known world


 Sultan Saladin also succeeded in turning the military balance of power in his favour—more by uniting and disciplining a great number of unruly forces than by employing new or improved military techniques. When at last, in 1187, he was able to throw his full strength into the struggle with the Latin Crusader kingdoms, his armies were their equals. On July 4, 1187, aided by his own military good sense and by a phenomenal lack of it on the part of his enemy, Saladin trapped and destroyed in one blow an exhausted and thirst-crazed army of Crusaders at Ḥaṭṭīn, near Tiberias in northern Palestine. So great were the losses in the ranks of the Crusaders in this one battle that the Muslims were quickly able to overrun nearly the entire Kingdom of Jerusalem. Acre, Toron, Beirut, Sidon, Nazareth, Caesarea, Nāblus, Jaffa (Yafo), and Ascalon (Ashqelon) fell within three months. But Saladin’s crowning achievement and the most disastrous blow to the whole Crusading movement came on October 2, 1187, when the city of Jerusalem, holy to both Muslim and Christian alike, surrendered to Saladin’s army after 88 years in the hands of the Franks. Saladin planned to avenge the slaughter of Muslims in Jerusalem in 1099 by killing all Christians in the city, but he agreed to let them purchase their freedom provided that the Christian defenders left the Muslim inhabitants unmolested.



His sudden success, which in 1189 saw the Crusaders reduced to the occupation of only three cities, was, however, marred by his failure to capture Tyre, an almost impregnable coastal fortress to which the scattered Christian survivors of the recent battles flocked. It was to be the rallying point of the Latin counterattack. Most probably, Saladin did not anticipate the European reaction to his capture of Jerusalem, an event that deeply shocked the West and to which it responded with a new call for a Crusade. In addition to many great nobles and famous knights, this Crusade, the third, brought the kings of three countries into the struggle. The magnitude of the Christian effort and the lasting impression it made on contemporaries gave the name of Saladin, as their gallant and chivalrous enemy, an added lustre that his military victories alone could never confer on him.




The Crusade itself was long and exhausting, despite the obvious, though at times impulsive, military genius of Richard I (the Lion-Heart). Therein lies the greatest—but often unrecognized—achievement of Saladin. With tired and unwilling feudal levies, committed to fight only a limited season each year, his indomitable will enabled him to fight the greatest champions of Christendom to a draw. The Crusaders retained little more than a precarious foothold on the Levantine coast, and when King Richard left the Middle East, in October 1192, the battle was over. Saladin withdrew to his capital at Damascus.




Soon the long campaigning seasons and the endless hours in the saddle caught up with him, and he died. While his relatives were already scrambling for pieces of the empire, his friends found that the most powerful and most generous ruler in the Muslim world had not left enough money to pay for his grave. Saladin’s family continued to rule over Egypt and neighbouring lands as the Ayyūbid dynasty, which succumbed to the Mamlūk dynasty in 1250.

Sultan Saladin, as we already know, was renowned for his knightly virtues which matched those of Richard the Lionheart. When Richard the Lionheart was sick with a fever, Sultan Saladin, knowing that he was poorly supplied with delicacies, sent him a gift of the choicest fruits of the land. On another occasion, when Richard's horse had been killed in battle, Saladin sent a fine Arabian steed as a present for his rival. For two years Richard the Lionheart and Saladin were involved in almost daily combat in the crusaders attempts to capture Jerusalem from the Muslims.




After capturing Jerusalem, Sultan Saladin signed an agreement saving Christians. He spared the lives of many Christians, and he also guaranteed their safe departure along with their property and belongings. Part of the condition of the surrender of Jerusalem, was that each Christian pays her or his ransom. Thousands of Christians were women, who were unable to pay the ransom. To save them from slavery, Sultan Saladin and his brother paid the ransom out of their own pockets. Sultan Saladin’s chivalrous qualities are evident by sparing the Christians and paying their ransom. Sultan Saladin set an example of tolerance, progressive, and inclusive faith. He showed restraint and peaceful treatment, upholding freedom of religion and protection of non-Muslims.




Richard the Lionheart remained for longer in the Holy Land than the other leaders of the Crusades. King Richard the Lionheart and Sultan Saladin finally concluded a truce by the terms of which Christians were permitted to visit Jerusalem without paying tribute, that they should have free access to the holy places, and remain in undisturbed possession of the coast from Jaffa to Tyre. King Richard the Lionheart then set sail for England, and with his departure from the Holy Land the Third Crusade came to an end, leaving Jerusalem still in the possession of Sultan Saladin, his knights and the Muslims.

A rabid, by name Raccoon was found in the area of Flanders Four Corners in East Lyme today. Ledge Light Health District confirms that the animal has been tested and was found to be positive for rabies on July 19. 



"This animal was found in the parking lot of JR's shack/Rite aid pharmacy," Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control Officer Robert Yuchniuk posted on Facebook. "Before arriving, there were several citizens around trying to help, taking photos and trying to give him drinks of water. One is not sure if they had any physical contact with the animal. If you were one of these people or if you know any of these people, please SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. Also if you see any wild animals that appear ill or injured, DO NOT APPROACH THEM. rabies are hundred percent fatal to EVERYTHING if not treated in time."


That's just the latest animal to test positive for the dread disease. Two raccoons tested positive for rabies in Waterford in May and in April. For your own safety, please avoid feeding or approaching wild or stray animals.

Finally, the Saladin knights, the Undead, “Those Who Have Risen” are now manifesting themselves some on Abbey’s grounds, like the knight and the neophyte starring in the air, while other knights are flying in the air, dressed and armed  according to their ranks. Their task is now accomplished in Ghent and Flanders  retiring among the Undead, keeping a watching eye on the city of Ghent and Flanders. They are immensely satisfied about the election of the Mayor Daniel Termotte, fully representing the Saladin Knights. Mayor Termotte is known as the world’s best Mayor. They also trust the skinheads and punks furthering Anarchism away from any religion beliefs, and caring and protecting the working class.

I am young, nineteen years to tell you the truth, but I know quite a lot of Ghent being a student and going around with friends a lot. I stopped a while at the Minard theater, a folk place where dialect is being spoken and enjoyed.. However, the driving force behind this theater was the actor Romain De Coninck. The place has a beautiful entrance hall, renovated and modernized not long ago, I overheard. The evening’s performance is mulled over around the fine oval bar until the early hours, the after dark pleasures shall I say. The Café called Marimain next to the Minard and part of it is attended by the regulars as ourselves young people. Popular is the terrace even in winter, admired by the passers-by, both male and female. The name “Marimain” is inspired by the previous owner, Mary Brouillard and the Ghent-born comedian Romain De Coninck. My grandfather told me that his death was a great loss for Ghent.

Anarchist Skinhead poster is nu afgewerkt. Het is een oproep aan bestaande Vlaamse Skinheads en anderen naar de Anarchisten over te komen, en ik moedig jullie aan een vereniging te stichten, jonge mensen onder elkaar. Ons beleid in enkele woorden uitgedrukt is: ruimte en vrijheid van een ieder om zichzelf en uniek te zijn, want elk mens is uniek en bijzonder. Daarom geen haat onder de mensen, en dat wilt zeggen geen haat onder ons. Duidelijker, geen rassenhaat op geen enkel vlak. 


Anarchism is not a political party. Its strength cannot be measured by counting heads or ballots. The Anarchist movement is a vital factor of life, based on man's inherent love of liberty and desire for well-being Anarchism finds expression in every form of human endeavour -- in the economic and social, as well as in the cultural and artistic phases of existence.

These three Red Skinheads are following a seminar at the Socialist Party in Ghent On the Vrijdagmarkt even during the Ghent Feasts of July. Mental development when paralleled by emotional stability and even a strong healthy body is the aim for all, especially when one is called to become or be a Red Anarchist Skinhead, the soldiers of the New Age. Red Skinheads must know about the unity of all life, races, creeds, and ways of life. Skinheads the world over, and not only in Ghent have to endeavourto think in group or community terms and clearly for oneself, not depending upon the word of others for clarification. In the rigid disciplining of the Red Anarchist Skinheads comes eventual perfection as the Saladin knights were, and are today, the Undead, “Those Who Have Risen”. In this New Age, the life of the skinhead becomes not easier as the Gate is neared, but ever the watch must be more thorough, ever right action must be taken with no regard to result, and each one in all its aggregate of detail must be wrestled with and subjugated. Only in the thorough comprehension of the axiom “Know Yourself” will come that understanding that enables the skinhead to wield the law of freedom, and know the inner working of that system. Struggle, strive, discipline, and rejoicingly serve with no reward save the misunderstanding and the abuse of those who follow after, this is the role of the Red Anarchist Skinhead.

 It turns out that this building was designed by the architect Ferdinand Dierckens, who later designed other Socialist buildings in Ghent and in New York. Today this building on the Friday Market is still used as the headquarters of the Socialist Party, the Socialist Health Insurance (Bond Moyson) and the Socialist Trade Unions.

Het Anarchisme helpt de mens om zo ruim mogelijk te leven in volle vrijheid en onafhankelijkheid, en in die zin bij het zoeken naar de waarheid, en dat is om de natuur te beheersen en de bewoonde wereld om te vormen om de mensheid te dienen, en de menselijke geest te bevrijden van onwetendheid, godsdienst en bijgeloof, en de velerlei slavernijen door het kapitalisme tot stand gebracht. In die zin wil het Anarchisme de maatschappelijke en politieke instellingen tot hervorming brengen ten bate van de meerderheid, het volk. Het Anarchisme streeft naar de hoge idealistische waarden. Vooral in onze tijd, zien wij door het gebruik van het denkvermogen in het zakenleven twee onrustwekkende dingen gebeuren: de georganiseerde grote zakenwereld met haar zelfzuchtige belangen en materiële begrippen, en zo zien wij planeet Aarde door vervuiling vlug ten onder gaan. Alles blijft bij woorden en niemand doet iets, en blijven ongeïnteresseerd. De stappen in de juiste richting moeten genomen worden. Het Anarchisme werkt aan het denkvermogen van de nieuwe mens. Wanneer de mentale vermogens van de mens door onze vernieuwde Westerse techniek in de zakenwereld (een geweldige school voor concentratie) ontwikkeld zijn, zal er onvermijdelijk een transmutatie volgen die analoog is aan die welke in het gebied van de emotieaard plaats vindt. Het denkvermogen van de mens moet dringend veranderen, waarachtiger en naar de hoger waarden heroriënteert worden buiten het godsdienstig idealisme die totaal voorbijgestreefd is. Wordt de nieuwe mens van vandaag, wordt Anarchist.

Ghent, Dampoort, Skinheads


It is also where the commercial seaport of Ghent links with the inner-city canals. Close to the Dampoort is Portus Ganda, the yachting area of the city, which opened in 2005, at the former confluence of the rivers Schelde (English: Scheldt) and Leie. The man touching the wall with his two hands, found a hidden graffiti place in that area. In fact he is on his way to visit the ruins of St. Bavo Abbey, the location where the Undead Saladin knights, “Those Who Have Risen” are found hanging about, and feasting for their achieved work in the City of Ghent. They have chosen the place, because the Dampoort is characterised by a bustling mix of people from different origins: Turkish, Eastern Europeans, native Belgians, Moroccan and practically any  other nationality in the city harbours nearby. At the Dampoort are located several Mosques, the main mosque renovated a few years ago, and the mosque of the Sufi Brotherhood. That is why this area of Ghent is so much attracted by the Saladin knights.
